Ferrara Sotto le Stelle presents every year in the beautiful setting of Piazza Castello, in the heart of the city, a rich calendar of important events, ranging within all contemporary and independent music.

In recent years, the Festival has come to the general attention for being able to combine names of recognized prestige and talented young authors, high-level entertainment and pleasant discoveries, great entertainment and research, for an extremely varied musical cross-section, but always of the highest quality.

2020 Edition | The covid-19 health emergency containment measures have forced a reduction in scheduled activities and initiatives.

Edition 2021 | Concurrently with the restrictions related to Covid19, the Festival chose Parco Massari, the city's first historic park, as the venue for this edition. An experimentation was undertaken to certify one of the first venues in Italy, seating the audience on the ground, in squares drawn on the grass and with different sizes dependent on the groups of joints.

Edition 2022 | The 26th edition was held in mid-June at the Nuova Darsena venue, an area recently redeveloped and reopened to citizens on the banks of the Po di Volano River. The festival offered DJ sets, workshops and concerts where leading national and international artists took turns. It continued on July 15 in Piazza Trento Trieste with the first date of the Italian tour of The Smile, Thom Yorke's new project.

Edition 2023 | Within the setting of the Castello Estense from July 12 to 14 and from September 7 to 9, national guests such as Vasco Brondi and international guests such as Kevin Morby and Trentemøller
