The Fire of the Estense Castle is the universally recognized symbol of New Year's Eve in Ferrara.
At the stroke of midnight, the Estense Castle comes alive with lights and fires in a pyromusical show recognized as the most exciting in all of Italy. It is a unique and unforgettable show, the ultimate expression of pyrotechnics with a duration of about 20 minutes and short pauses between musical pieces for security checks.

In 2021 due to the health emergency, the event changed its format and was held without an audience, with live national streaming, in full compliance with anti-covid-19 rules and regulations.
