The Festival Elbathe Musical Island of Europe was founded in 1997 by George Edelman and Yuri Bashmet with the aim of creating an important musical event in the panorama of international classical music and jazz festivals.

A moment of meeting between great musicians who come from different countries and who meet together in Portoferraio to study new programs.
The concerts of the Festival are original productions, rehearsed on site and proposed to the public for the first time, and sometimes re-proposed in the most important concert halls in Europe.
